Dar es Salaam & Selous 3 Days & 2 Nights
A ferry ride through the untouched and unexplored areas of Tanzania will get you to the beautiful Dar es Salaam where you’ll be treated to a boat safari to spot the local hippos and crocodiles. The next day will include a safari through the Selous Gamer Reserve where you’ll be met with zebras, lions, giraffes, and elephants to name a few. Your last day is capped off with one of the wildest experiences in Africa, a walking safari with an armed ranger.
Day 1: Zanzibar/Dar es Salaam/Selous
Pick up at 06H30 from your hotel to Zanzibar harbor for your 07H30 ferry to Dar es Salaam. Dar. Received and start your drive towards Selous Game Reserve, you’ll have lunch on the way to the restaurant. The journey will take about 6hours through the most unexplored and untouched areas of Tanzania. Arrive Selous in the afternoon in time for the boat safari, where you’ll admire hippos and crocodiles in their natural habitat and expecting to see other animals came for a drink before dark. Dinner and overnight will be at the Ngalawa lodge (or similar).
Day 2: Selous Game Reserve full day
After breakfast, you’ll enter the wildness for your full-day game drive in the Selous game reserve, which is rich in wildlife: buffaloes, lions, elephants, zebras, giraffes, impalas, warthogs, hippos, hyenas, and lots of crocodiles. Dinner and overnight will be at the Ngalawa lodge (or similar).
Day 3: Selous/Dar/Zan
Early morning after coffee wilderness walking safari, the most exciting experience, unique in Tanzania, accompanied by armed rangers. Back to the lodge for breakfast and thereafter drive back to Dar es Salaam, where you’ll catch your flight at 19H30 back to Zanzibar.
