"Traveling to Zanzibar was so wonderful. My husband traveled to Zanzibar and it was amazing. The local people are so wonderful and the beaches are nice and peaceful. The tours and safaris were good value for money and well organised. We really enjoyed our trip and we will keep coming back.

How Safe Is Swimming In Zanzibar East London?

Yes, swimming in Zanzibar is extremely safe. The Indian Ocean is warm and has tiny waves. Zanzibar is a popular snorkeling and scuba diving destination.

Snorkeling In Zanzibar

While conditions differ from beach to beach and season to season, many of Zanzibar’s beaches are ideal for swimming. Seaweed can sometimes be found in the water, particularly along the East Coast, depending on the tides. In the rugged shallows, you will discover sea urchins (especially at low tide). Wear booties (diving boots) to cover your feet and watch where you walk.

Is It Possible To Find Sharks In Zanzibar?

There are harmless coral sharks in Zanzibar. Then there is Mafia Island, where you can swim with whale sharks. These sharks are not dangerous and perfectly safe to swim and dive with. Finally, great white sharks have been seen in the deep waters on occasion, but no shark attacks have been recorded.

Is It Safe To Go Out In The Evening In Zanzibar?

To be safe, the answer is negative. Muggings and robberies happen, particularly late at night in dark alleys. So, do not go out alone late at night.

Take only licensed taxis or those recommended by trusted locals and friends. Alternatively, at certain hotels and restaurants, you can arrange for an escort to accompany you on your stroll.

Travel Protection In Zanzibar

The same laws apply as they do in other big cities around the world. Carry no lavish jewellery and keep your valuables close at hand. Keep your wits about you and do not disclose your address to anyone. You should be safe wandering around on your own throughout the day, just be vigilant.

World-class diving (a water lover’s paradise) is one of the best reasons to visit Zanzibar East London

Zanzibar has some of the most spectacular diving sites and warm waters in the world. It is no surprise that it is a common destination for anyone looking to explore the underwater world. Melozhori Private Game Reserve Is A Forest Reserve In Tanzania

Another compelling need to visit Zanzibar is the Game Reserve, which is home to the endangered Red Colobus Monkeys, one of Africa’s rarest primates. These monkeys are native and  they are steadily returning from the verge of extinction thanks to conservation efforts. Jozani’s nature forests are part of the Island’s only National Park, where you can see hundreds of different butterflies, various birds, and a number of fascinating plants and animals.

The Zanzibar Museum (located 1km from Melozhori Private Game Reserve) is an environmental community project that has taught community members to farm butterflies in a sustainable manner. The project aims to generate income for locals while also conserving the local forest by operating one of Africa’s largest butterfly sanctuaries and exporting butterfly pupae. Visitors will take an immersive tour with one of the knowledgeable guides through the lush, netted gardens, where hundreds of butterflies, many of which are native to Zanzibar, fly freely.

Why Should You Visit Zanzibar?

For a beach, marine, cultural, and historical vacation

Zanzibar East London, an inimitable Indian Ocean off the coast of Tanzania, is the best destination in Tanzania for exceptional cultural, exploratory, historical, and eco-tourism experiences. It appears to have all that any similar-minded tourist might be looking for. It has a unique ethnic background that is a fascinating synthesis of the many tourists who have passed through  over the centuries. Persians, Indians, European, Arabs, and even a smattering of Chinese left an impression in the form of architectural culture and style, which now add to the city’s allure. Many empires rose and fell, leaving behind ruins and other traces, but their existence is still felt in the blood of the typical residents of Zanzibar.

Along with heavy Swahili influences, Zanzibar you see today is special in every way, from their semantics to cuisine, spices and fruit, furniture types, fabrics, the beautiful hand-made artifacts and jewellery you can find in their duka shops, and, obviously, the natural beauty that is distinct from every other African  seaside destination. When you think of Zanzibar, you cannot help but think of the beautiful waters with their snow white sands, the sea, and the lush tropical vegetation that creates a spell of beauty and tranquillity.

Perhaps more enticing is the eye catching marine life flourishing underneath the waters of the ocean, or the beauty of the Forest Reserve, which is home to red colobus monkeys and other creatures. Visit Zanzibar Holidays East London with African Mecca and immerse yourself in the wonder and serenity as you travel through it and the other breathtakingly beautiful archipelago.

Before You Leave, Ensure That You Have Adequate Travel Insurance

Since the unexpected happens, even in such a beautiful place as Zanzibar, we  recommend purchasing good travel insurance before departing. A missing flight link, misplaced luggage, stolen travel gear, an accident in your destination, etcetera. These are only a few examples of what could happen to anyone. It is always a good idea to have good travel insurance for peace of mind and to be insured in case you run into any of these problems or need medical attention. Bear in mind that Zanzibar has few resources. In the event of a major accident, you will need medical attention, which will be costly.
